Pier Cleaners on High Street in Wakefield has partnered with People’s Credit Union as part of a community winter coat drive. Pier Cleaners generously donated their drycleaning services to ensure each donated coat is clean and in top condition for the eventual wearer. The Credit Union collected new and gently used coats at their branch locations and over 100 coats and accessory items will be donated.
“When we heard that People’s Credit Union was holding a community coat drive, we knew that Pier could also lend a hand so that each donation was in perfect condition,” stated Phyllis Fish, Owner of Pier Cleaners. “Helping in the community is very important to everyone at Pier Cleaners, so the coat drive is a natural fit for us to offer our skills and assistance,” she added.
“Having Pier Cleaners be a partner in the Credit Union’s coat drive was so important for us to provide those in need with fresh welcomed warmth at this time of year,” commented Melissa Barros, Branch Manager, People’s Credit Union, Wakefield. “This act of kindness from Pier Cleaners speaks volumes to how their business supports our community. We are truly grateful for their support,” Barros further said.
