People’s Credit Union has teamed up with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program to provide new gifts for children in need this holiday season. Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning and through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program hundreds of thousands of children around the country, each year are the happy beneficiaries of others’ generosity. Locally, People’s Credit Union branches have helped to collect donated unwrapped gifts and clothing under their holiday trees for Angel’s Christmas wish list. The Salvation Army then distributes them to deserving families around the Credit Union’s market area. Donations are continuing to be accepted at People’s Credit Union branches on Aquidneck Island, Bristol, North Kingstown, and Wakefield.
“The holiday period should be a joyous time for everyone, especially children and their dreams. During these times, some families need assistance in fulfilling their little-ones’ dreams and we are more than happy to assist them wherever possible, “offered Jane McDurman, Vice President Retail Administration, People’s Credit Union. “At People’s Credit Union, we and our members are about people helping people and by teaming up with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program we can help make the dreams of families in need come true at the holidays” McDurman further commented.
