On November 30th, People’s Credit Union volunteers put their creative skills to work with an employee Holiday wreath-making event to support Lucy’s Hearth Annual Designer Wreath Sale. Three teams of Credit Union volunteers were part of workshops held at the Middletown branch with nearly 50 participants. People’s Credit Union is one of several organizations providing their time and skills to create a variety of Holiday wreaths for the annual fundraiser being held on December 2nd at the Easton’s Beach Rotunda.
“Lucy’s Hearth is always assisting families in need throughout the year, so our employees were delighted to jump in with their creativity for the fundraiser,” stated Courtney Hunter, Head of Community Development for People’s Credit Union. “We all want to make the Holidays as joyful as possible for everyone in the community and helping Lucy’s Hearth is just one of the ways we can,” Hunter further added.
Lucy’s Hearth Annual Designer Wreath Sale will be Saturday, December 2nd from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Easton’s Beach Rotunda, 175 Memorial Blvd. Newport. All proceeds will benefit the programs and services of Lucy’s Hearth, Newport County’s shelter for families with children.
