I Fell For a Scam, Now What?

Steps to Take to Protect Yourself

Immediately contact your financial institution and explain what transpired
Do not leave out details – be honest and forthcoming about the situation so your FI may assist you in attempting to recover funds
If you provided your OLM password, change that as soon as possible. In the meantime, you may want to have your account frozen for your own protection
Contact the FTC to follow the steps provided to protect yourself from identity theft
Cut off all contact with the scammer! Block them on everything!
